Saturday, 10 November 2007

Blue Cross avenged an earlier Knockout Cup drubbing at the Abbey Lawn, claiming a valuable league success which puts further distance between them and the bottom three.

Mark Jones missed a great opportunity to give the Wakes an early lead.

A 65th minute goal from Danny Marsh proved enough to give the visitors all three points, the midfielder powering through two challenges before firing home.

The visitors ended the contest with ten men after Krysztof Matieskiewicz was dismissed.
