Saturday, 10 November 2007

Thrapston won at Hall Road for the first time in six seasons to move into mid table in Division One.

Thrapston were closest to a goal in the first half when Lee Purser's free kick was turned onto the bar by Rovers keeper Danny Workman.

Ben Morgan gave the visitors the lead on the hour with a low shot into the corner against the run of play but Peter Collins squared the match with a 71st minute penalty after debutant Tim Jolly was fouled.

With the match drifting towards stalemate Morgan's second goal, a 25 yard strike after 89 minutes following a right wing break, gave Thrapston all three points.
