Yaxley are still searching for their first points of the season after the Walnut Boys left In2Itive Park with a desered win.
Josh Bamford smashed home a loose ball in the box to give the visitors a 17th minute advantage and they went on to enjoy a good spell without adding to their tally.
The Cuckoos were handed a 27th minute opportunity to level when Cameron Clark was adjudged to have fouled Ondre Odain, but Luke Pepper's spot kick bounced to safety off the post.
Four minutes later Odain headed in a Luke Hipwell free kick but the point was disallowed for a foul.
The Cuckoos were enjoying their best spell of the game and it needed a goalline clearance from Michael Stephenson to keep the Walnut Boys in front.
Just before the break Kempston went close to a second goal as Drew Phillips was thwarted by a fine save from Aaron Butcher and then a goalline clearance.
Yaxley levelled after 56 minutes. Odain challenged keeper Martin Conway for a Hipwell free kick and Andy Colemen slammed the loose ball home from close range.
The Walnut Boys forced the pace thereafter and regained the lead with a fine goal after 78 minutes. Substitute Ishmael George took on the home defence in a mazy run before finding Ash Farmer whose pull back was converted by Michael Cox.
The scoring was completed in the final minute when Sam Macrae slotted home after good work by Phillips.
