Brislington Juniors  6    Fry Club Colts  2

Sunday, 16 October 2005

Brislington secured their second win of the season when they soundly beat bottom of the table Fry Colts 6 : 2.An excellent game played in a good spirit by both teams. The game was dominated by the Brislington attacks and ten minutes into the game a ball was sent to the feet of Cory Clark and onward into the net to make the score 1-0 to Brislington. Following this Fry's midfield fought off challenges from the Brislington players to send the ball to their forwards for an equaliser. This goal seemed to spur on Frys and ten minutes from the end of the first half a shot was fired towards the Brislington goal where the keeper, Liam May, parried it away but Frys were very quick on the rebound and scored to take a 2:1 lead into the interval. The second half seemed to be all Brislington and five minutes into the half Brislington equalised with a shot from Harley Purnell. From this point Brislington dominated the game and after a further ten minutes Jake Baldock added a third goal after a long pass from Joe Underhill. The pressure on the Frys keeper was continuous but due to a good performance from the keeper the score was kept to reasonable figures. A further goal came from the head of Jordan Walker into the corner of the net and Jamie White scored the final goal.
