Newport Pagnell Town  0    St Neots Town  3

Saturday, 01 September 2007

St Neots moved to the top of the Premier Division as Newport's unbeaten record came to grief on an afternoon which saw their striker Vinny Shrieves red carded and his father, Swans boss Terry, banished from the dugout.

Barrington Belgrave's fourth goal of the season, a 15 yard strike from a Ryan Francis through ball, gave St Neots the lead after 27 minutes with Ivan Finch doubling the lead with a rare headed goal from an Arin Fehmi free kick  five minutes before the break.

Newport were down to ten men by the interval with Shrieves dismissed for violent conduct.

Stuart Beevor came off the bench to complete the scoring a minute from the end after Tony Russell and Dave Fisk combined.

Newport: James Howarth, Mark Bone, Rob Lock, John Thorpe, Lee Tinsley, Scott Mulkern (Rob Macdonald), Rob Tapp, Rowland Gavin (Michael Riley), Vinny Shrieves, Drew Mitten, Peter Rowe.

St Neots: Roy Bloxham, Ivan Finch, Tony Russell, Jon Hoggett, Tom Moran (Garry Watts), Barrington Belgrave (Stuart Beevor), Mark Franklin (Dave Fisk), Ashley Deverell, Steve Kuhne, Ryan Francis, Arin Fehmi.
