Sleaford put aside a run of poor results to outgun the Royals whose three match winning run was left in tatters.

Jamie Shaw opened the scoring for the visitors after just eight minutes after Ollie Sidney won a challenge and played theball through and Shaw doubled Sleaford's lead three minutes before the half hour mark after a good run by Pete Sutton.

When Shaw completed his hat trick by netting a 57th minute spot kick awarded for handball the Royals looked out of the running, particularly after Damon Pickering was red carded, but Nathan Frater gave them a glimmer of hope after 66 minutes after a good build up on the right.

Home comeback hopes were dashed within two minutes though as strike prospect Tom Siddons scored a 68th minute fourth for Sleaford, turning in Jason Sedland's corner at the near post.
