Bugbrooke are second in the table after overwhelming the Romans at Alfred Street.

It was Irchester who found the net first through player coach Simon Henry who headed in a free kick after just eight minutes but in form marksman Dave Drinkwater levelled for the Badgers with a 43rd minute spot kick after Martin Misutka was brought down.

Three goals in six minutes early in the second half killed off the home challenge.

Dave Drinkwater gave Bugbrooke a 50th minute lead from Dan Brown's pass, with Adam Godfrey adding to the visiting haul two minutes later with a lob. Drinkwater took his season's tally to five with his hat trick goal after 56 minutes. Godfrey completed the scoring with twenty minutes to play, firing home from 25 yards.
