Desborough preserved their unbeaten record but it was a close run thing against the Premier Division pacesetters.

Steve Kuhne gave the visitors the lead after just 107 seconds converting a Garry Watts pass. Desborough missed a series of good opportunities while at the other end a full stretch save from Michael Evans denied Chris Garwell a second for the Saints.

Desborough bossed thesecond half with Jon Chatfield in the visiting goal producing some fine saves most notably from Mike Sneddon. Tony Page and Michael Byrne also went close but the tabletoppers looked set for a seventh successive victory as the contest progressed.

With just three minutes to play Paul Malone came to Ar Tarn's rescue with the equalising goal from a Scott Marshall corner.
