Quarter Final

Rothwell Town  3    Long Buckby  2

Tuesday, 30 October 2007

Buckby failed to make the change of venue work in their favour as they bowed out to the Bones.

Ryan Nash gave the Bucks the lead in the last minute of the first half cutting in from the right to fire home from just inside the box, but the second period belonged to Rothwell.

Liam Boath equalised after 58 minutes with a chip over goalkeeper Paul Shepherd, Fazel Koriya rounded two defenders to give the Bones a 74th minute lead and ten minutes later Adam Bridgeford added a third from Michael Boyle-Chong's cross.

Gokhan Ulker cut the deficit three minutes from time after holding off two challenges but it came too late to preserve Buckby's interest in the competition.

Long Buckby: Paul Shepherd, Dan Burke, Craig Kelly, Danny Duggan, Andreas Kattos, Carl Holmes, Ryan Nash (Jon Crockett), Richard Bunting, Amrit Sidhu (Gokhan Ulker), Ben Foster, Lee Botterill (Jason Lee).
