Long Buckby 3 Stotfold 3
Saturday, 20 October 2007
Long Buckby's second half fightback earned them their sixth draw of the season.
The Eagles went ahead after 21 minutes through Joel Mason who converted after Tawhid Juneja's long throw was flicked on and five minutes later Lee Allinson extended the visitors' advantage, pouncing to score after Martyn Margarson could only parry Paul Garrett's free kick.
Ben Foster outpaced the visiting defence to score his twelfth goal of the season and put Buckby back in the game after 55 minutes and they were level on the hour through defender Andreas Kattos who produced a spectacular overhead kick to score.
Garrett restored Stotfold's advantage after 64 minutes, intercepting a goal kick and lobbing home from 40 yards but Buckby snatched a point thanks to Foster's second goal of the afternoon with just six minutes to play, the striker latching on to Gokhan Ulker's through ball and darting between two defenders to score with a shot just inside the far post.
