Entrance to Welfare approximately 300 yards on right opposite Wharf Aquatics, ground is behind Welfare.
Club History
Pinxton Football Club were formed in 1994 and initially played in the
Mansfield Bitter League between 1994-1998. We gained our first success in
the 96-97season by becoming Division 2 Champions and League Cup winners.
Another Double was completed the following season 97-98 as we were crowned
Division 1 Champions and Derbyshire Junior Cup Winners. This prompted a
move in direction as we entered the Midland Regional Alliance. After a period
of consolidation we were crowned Division 1 Champions for the 2001-02 season.
This triumph saw us promoted to the Midland Regional Alliance Premier League.
In our first season in the MRA Premier we managed a respectable 12th place
finish and then improved upon this in 2003-2004 with a 6th place finish.
Due to the continued growth of the club we are now members of the Central
Midlands Premier League. A lot of time and effort has been spent on the
facilities at the Welfare Ground to enable us to compete at this level and
due to a forward thinking committee our progress should continue. In our
debut season in the Central Midlands Premier Division, we finished in a
credible 4th place and gained promotion to the Supreme Division. Our first
season in the Supreme was undoubtedly one Pinxton?s finest after reaching
December with out a win, then finishing 15th after an amazing second half
of the season winning run, But was relegated because we could not get floodlights
in the time aloud which was just 1 year.
